Bagan-Kalaw

Breakfast at hotel. Pick up from hotel and start for the road journey to Kalaw, a hill resort in Shan State. This is a long but train scenic trip, taking you from the flat, dry zone into the lush highlands of the Shan State. (If the train is unavailable a bus will be used)

Arrival to Kalaw will be late afternoon. (Tour coach will change as coach from Bagan will return to Bagan.)

Check in hotel, met local guide for guided sightseeing of Kalaw scenic spots and other historic places.

Overnight in Kalaw. 

Kalaw-Inle Lake

Visit morning market in Kalaw, mingling with locals and observe their way of life. You can also purchase local products in market.

Lunch at Kalaw before transfer to train station for a train journey to Shwenyaung. It is nearly 4 hours ride (the train station is located half an hour drive from Nayungshwe, Inle).  The journey from Kawal to Shwenyaung is one of the worlds great train rides and a unique adventure.

Met on arrival in Shwenyaung station and transfer to hotel in Nyaungshwe, Inle. Check in hotel. 

Inle Lake

Breakfast at hotel.

Walk to jetty for boat sightseeing in Inle Lake, the second largest natural lake in Myanmar situated 1320 meter above the sea level among the hazy blue mountains. On the lake's shore and islands are 17 villages on stilts, inhabited by Intha people famous for their unique leg-rowing techniques.

Continue sightseeing in the lake by boat as time allows. Tour highlights are Inle lake floating gardens, villages around the lake, Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda, home industries and the NgaPheKyaung Monastery.

Back to hotel and if time allowed, visit to Red mountain Wine Vineyard for sunset and transfer to dinner. Overnight in Inle Lake.

Inle Lake-Heho-Mandalay

Station guide will be at hotel and conduct sightseeing in Mandalay, a former Royal capital and culture center of Myanmar.  

Visits will include Shwenandaw Golden Palace Monastery noted for its exquisite wood carving, Kuthodaw Pagoda with 729 stone tablets (known as the World's Biggest Book), the palace, Gold leaf making workshops, Embroidery workshops, and the local market.

We may also visit if time allows the Amarapura, Mahagandayon Monastery a renowned Buddhist monastery, local silk weaving and finally the U Bein Bridge for a beautiful sunset. 

Transfer to dinner and overnight at hotel.

Mandalay-Bagan

Transfer to jetty (early morning) for day cruise to Bagan (RV Panorama which is also called Alliance Myanmar River Cruise).

The river cruise will take 7-8 hours to Bagan enjoying scenic river life and they will stop few villages on the way for excursion.

Met on arrival at jetty and transfer to hotel.

Check in hotel and rest day at leisure.

Bagan-Mt Popa-Bagan

Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Mt. Popa (50 km from Bagan), a extinct vocano with spectacular view over plains of the Bagan which is also a site with numerous spirit images and shrines for spirit & animist worshippers.

Visit Taunkalat Hill( Mt. popa) taking over 700 stairs to the top and observe the local vendors, legends of  37 spirits in Burmese folk religion, and panoramic view.

Lunch at Popa and return to Bagan. Discover few spots in Bagan if time allowed and then back to hotel. Rest day at leisure.

Breakfast at hotel. Continue tour of Bagan. Then proceed sightseeing in Bagan, to historic temples and monuments from 9th to 13th centuries and observe artistry crafts and architecture from the old centuries. 

Highlights also include workshops of two of the region's best known products: handmade lacquer ware and wooden handicrafts. Back to hotel after sightseeing in the afternoon and rest day at leisure

Back to hotel after the touring and Overnight in Yangon.
